There are over 42,000 listings in this database with some dating as far back as the 1800s. The collection has black and white as well as color images and is comprised of a wide variety of photographic media.

To use this service simply type in any keyword that you think will result in finding the subject you want and click the Search button. For example, if you want to find a steam train at Sandstone, West Virginia, your best bet is to request "Sandstone." Likewise, if you want anything available on a class 0-12 0-1 0-0 switcher, you would want to ask for "C-12" and "0-10-0."
