Poster, Huntington Travel 17X24

The 2009 C&OHS commemorative poster by Vermont Artist Charlie Hunter features Huntington, West Virginia. This is the third poster in our series which includes Clifton Forge (2007) and Hinton (2008). The poster is in the style of the great classic vintage railroad travel posters of the 20's and 30's. The image is taken from a point of view standing in front of the depot, and honors C.P. Huntington, the beautiful Georgian style brick depot, and the craftsmanship of Huntington Shops (the two L-1 locomotives, which were converted at the Huntington Shops). The lettering style of the word "Huntington" is taken from one of the line-side buildings near the depot. The prints will be signed and numbered in a limited edition of 100 and printed on heavy high quality archival stock.
