What is the Multi-Search?
Put simply, this tool allows you to search many of our online databases as well as site content.

Why is that a good thing?
First, it saves time. For a subject you are researching in depth you would otherwise have to go to each database to search them independently. Second, you may find something you didn't know existed or may not have thought to look for.

How do I use it?
Simply type your keyword into the search box, select where you'd like your results from, and click the Search button.

The 'AND, OR, and EXACT' types are not giving me the results I expected. Why?
Not all of the available searches are suited for Boolean searches and in other cases the complexity of a search like that would kill the speed and efficiency of a large, broad-scale search that this tool was designed to do. Use the Multi-Search for basic searches and then follow the links to the main database if you would like to data mine.
